KARMA CONCERTS - The December concerts in the Karma series will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Billy's on Seneca Street. Performers will be Jan. 26, Tunes in a Bucket. $5 at the door with the proceeds going to the Lyric Restoration Project. LIBERTY CABARET: SOUNDTRACK ENCORE - Clarion Student Association and CU Serve club is sponsoring a free performance of the Barrow-Civic Theatre's "Liberty Cabaret: Soundtrack," at 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Rhoades Student Center Auditorium. Mature audiences based on language and content. Seating will be limited to the first 100 and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a pre-show party in the dining area with movie theatre foods and candy while supplies last, and a photo booth. BOOK SALE - The Friends of the Franklin Public Library will be holding a $1/bag sale from noon to 5 p.m. in the book sale room. The book sale room's regular weekly hours noon to 5 p.m. are Tuesdays and Fridays. January 28
PUZZLE CHALLENGE - The Oil Region Library Association will hold its second area puzzle contest from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Belles Lettres Club in Oil City. Teams of up to 4 p.m. can register in two divisions - adults and all ages. The cost is $20 per team. Register at eantkowiak@oilregionlibraries.org. JAZZ MUSIC - Meadville Council on the Arts will present "Tear from Grace" with "Stoned Apes" as part of its Winter Music Stage series at the Meadville Market House. NATURE ART SHOWCASE & SALE - The show and sale will be held once again at the Barrow-Civic Theatre lobby. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. February 3. The main show will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. February 4. Admission to both is free. Attendees will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece to be named the People's Choice winner. February 4
BACK TO THE 90S - Wanango Country Club will hold a 90s party from 7 to 11 p.m. Music by DJ Todd. It is $5. Open to ages 21 and older. Beverage and food available. CRAFT AND STORY TIME - The cast of the Barrow-Civic Youth Theatre's production of "The Rainbow Fish Musical" will hold a craft and story times at 10 and 11 a.m. in the Little Theatre. Attendees will also get a book from the United Way of Venango County. All activities are free and there is no pre-registration required. JUSTUS JAUNT POLAR PLUNGE - Two Mile Run County Park will host a plunge into Justus Lake at 1 p.m. Registration opens at 12:30 p.m. It is $20 for early registration and $25 the day of event. CELEBRATION OF TALENT - The Franklin Rotary Club will partner with the Barrow-Civic Theatre to host its annual talent show competition at 7:30 p.m. The audience gets to vote on their favorite acts to win cash prizes. FRANKLIN ON ICE - The annual ice sculptures festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Franklin. LOVE YOUR LIBRARY - Celebrate Love Your Library month at the Franklin Public Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include crafts, a student artwork display, Dr. Seuss themed story times at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., refreshments, and a Cat in the Hat meet and greet. No registration is required and all ages are welcome. There will also be a book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. PURSE BINGO - Games start at 7 p.m. at Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department and benefit the Titusville High School baseball team. FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE - The Titusville YMCA will hold a dance from 6 to 8 p.m. PITHOLE CABIN FEVER PARTY - There will be crafts, games, fun, if there is snow, sledding and snowman building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Historic Pithole City, 14118 Pithole Road, Pleasantville. HELPING HANDS PROJECT - Oil City Earthworks in the National Transit Building Annex in Oil City will do a community project from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Have your handprint carved out of clay and made into bowls to be distributed locally. You will also be entered into a drawing for free classes. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE BALL - Gaye Welton will be the caller for a Regency-era dance at 7 p.m. at the Belles Lettres Club. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Regency-era costumes or formal wear are encouraged. Hors D’oeuvres will be served and there will be a cash bar. Tickets are $25 and include a drink. CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT - Youth Connections will hold its second annual Cornhole Tournament at the Oil City Moose Club. Registration opens at 12:30 p.m. Competition starts at 1 p.m. The two-member teams will be determined by a blind drawing. Cash prizes will be give to the top three teams: $250 for first place, $150 for second place, and $100 for third place. The cost is $20, which includes entry into the competition and a chance to win the grand prize. The event will also include a basket raffle and concessions. Call 814-676-9940, ext. 1228. IMPROV CLASS - The Barrow Theatre Institute will host an Improv Workshop from 10 a.m. to noon. The class will be taught by improvisers and teachers Rhiannon Jenkins and Chris Griswold. The class is for ages 18 and older and costs $10. IMPROV NIGHT - An open mic night for improv acting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Barrow-Civic Theatre. All skill levels are welcome to participate or be a part of the audience. Everything on stage is being improvised on the spot. It can be funny, sad, exciting, expect anything. Mature audiences. BIG BASKET BINGO - The United Way of Venango County will hold its annual Big Basket Bingo at the Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Doors open at 11 a.m. and games start at 1 p.m. Tickets are $25. Additional games and food will be available for purchase. Tickets available at the United Way, Venango chamber and Franklin chamber. MONTE CARLO NIGHT - A semi-formal (black tie) night of cards, games, food and drinks will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Wildcat Mansion. Tickets are $75 and include three drinks, hors 'doeuvres, and game credits. Proceeds benefit the Oil Region Alliance, where tickets are available for purchase. February 27
FAMILY BOOK PARTY - The Oil City Library will host Narnia Family Book Party from 6 to 7 p.m. Families are encouraged to read "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis prior to the party. There will be a book discussion, activities, crafts and snacks related to the book. Children can come dressed as their favorite character. March 2 to 4

ALICE IN WONDERLAND BALLET - The Oil Region Ballet will perform Alice in Wonderland at 7:30 p.m. March 3 and 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 4 at the Barrow-Civic Theatre. Tickets $10-14 March 4
LADIES EXTRAVAGANZA - Polk Fire and Rescue and the Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department will host their second annual Ladies Extravaganza at 6:30 p.m. at the Rocky Grove fire hall. Doors will open at 5 p.m. $20 gets an attendee one chance to win, a meal by Country Grub and a beverage. Get two chances to two for $30. There will also be side games and raffles.
