First case reported in Venango County was 3/29/2020. First case in Craford county was three days earlier on 3/26/2020.

​The first six months Venango only recorded 88 cases. That is an average of less than one every two days. Crawford averaged a little more than one case a day for the same time period.

Since Jan. 1 Venango has still had over 1,000 cases even though recently the daily numbers have dropped. The same with Crawford County who typically reposts a few more cases per day than Venango. According to Epidemiologist Dr. Becky Dawson the area is still showing about a 25% positivity rate. This mean one out of every four people tested is coming back positive for COVID 19.
