Oil City's Sayyid Donald was difficult to stop and had a game-high 20 points. Jake Hornbeck also chipped in with a solid effort scoring 17 points.
Titusville senior Kasen Neely hit a three-pointer to open the Rocket's scoring attack in the first quarter on his way to five three pointers and a team-high 17 points, including nine in the first half.
The Rockets were able to keep pace with the Oilers for most of the first 16 minutes, even leading at times, thanks to 10 early points by Manny Perez. Titusville was able to thwart Oil City's last-second basket attempt at the buzzer to go into the half down only 34-31.
It was a different story in the second half with the Rockets coming out cold and taking more than five minutes to finally score. Meanwhile, the Oilers connected for 11 points to widen the gap to 48-31. Andrew Wheeling recorded Titusville's only basket in the third quarter, which ended 52-33 in favor of Oil City. Oil City's Ethen Knox and Cam Van Wormer also scored in double-digits.
Titusville had a little more success in the fourth quarter but was unable to overcome the large margin. The Rockets scored 14 in the final frame but took a loss on the night 63-47.
