With what appears to be a shortage of officials, games are being moved all around. More Thursday and Saturday games will be played this year in order to have enough officiating crews to go around,
So Oil City went to Linesville Thursday to take on the Conneaut Eagles, Both teams lost their opener and it was evident in this contest that neither team was ready to dominate the other..... until halftime. Oil City came out of the half down a couple points and proceed to shut down the eagles en route to 38-18 win. The three-time in a row district champs might not have the same explosive offense and debilitating defense they have had over the last few years, but they were solid enough to take down the Eagles who are struggling under a first year head coach.
