For the last few years Kyla Parkinson has been of a quest to pay tribute to the hard working people of northwestern Pennsylvania.
The owner of Victorian City Art & Frame, a hard worker herself, puts on a photography show each year for Labor Day celebrating the sweat and dedication that makes up out area's working class
“We want to see the work that shapes our community and its people,” said Parkinson. "We have hard workers here. People who are not afraid to get their hands dirty or provide very valuable services so this area thrives. We want to celebrate that in this photography exhibition.”
VCAF are looking for local businesses and photographers to submit works that get to the heart and soul of a community by showing the often unseen efforts that drive our local industry,
“We want to see an artistic viewpoint of the nitty gritty makeup of this area,” Parkinson explains. “We're in the middle of the oil region, the rust belt, the steel industry, there's so much to show off.”
Those interested are invited to submit up to three photographs highlighting the hardworking people, equipment, and daily operations by August 17.

The top 20 entries will be printed, framed and showcased for the month of September at the gallery and also at the annual energy forum at Drake’s Well in Titusville in October where they will be seen by an international audience of industry leaders and dignitaries.
The show last year was very well received and now in its third year, the organizers are expecting it to be bigger and better.
