Franklin's weeklong-plus Libertyfest celebration concluded Saturday night, 250 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, with its annual July 4 fireworks over the confluence of French Creek and the Allegheny River.
The forecasted storms that could have possibly ruined this celebration for the community steered clear of Riverfront Park. Other than a little damp grass the evening appeared to be enjoyed by the folks perched on the hillside to watch the spectacular.
