Franklin boys are the top-seeded team in the county with the number one spot in the 3A division. They go into the playoffs with an 18-4 record and will play Mercyhurst Prep, who are 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Oil City High School.
In 2A action, two Crawford County schools made the brackets. Saegertown (15-7) will meet up with Eisenhower (13-9) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at PennWest Edinboro. Cambridge Springs (17-5) will play Lakeview (12-10) at 6 p.m. Friday at Meadville.
Meadville High School (6-16) will play Cathedral Prep (19-3) at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mercyhurst University to determine the 5A District 10 championship.
For Crawford County, Region 2 winner Maplewood (18-4) is the second seed in the 2A division and is scheduled to play Mercer (12-10) at noon Saturday in Meadville. Following that game, Cambridge Springs (17-15) will match up with West Middlesex (11-11).
