Despite a little long ball by the Knight's Kirstin Hicks and Abby Boland, the Knights just couldn't bounce back to catch Conneaut in the opening round of the playoffs. Early in the contest the Knights has a case of the dropsies and just couldn't seem to squeeze the ball in the glove. This led to Conneaut jumping out to a 3-0 in the first. They added another in the third while Franklin's hard hit balls were always directly at a Conneaut player. Finally, in the fourth Abby Boland got a hold of one sending a two-run homer over the left field fence. But by tat time the Eagles were already up to eight runs. The Knights had a solid fifth-inning where they plated three more., but still not enough
