| “We wrestled a good tournament this weekend,” said Titusville head coach Mo Burns after his squad took second place at the Tool City Tournament in Meadville. “Everyone is buying in and improving everyday. We are in a good place at this point in the season." Though Burns admits there is some room for improvement, as all good coaches do when there is still much work to be done. Other than Fort LeBoeuf this weekend, Titusville proved they were a team to be reckoned with as they head down the stretch. Isaac Roberts and Sawyer Wolfkiel both took home gold. Parker Miller, Kam Mong and Coleman Huck each battled to third place finishes while Bryce Campbell earned a fifth, Coy Campbell, JJ Miller and Alex Hawthorne got seventh and Logan Riddle and Brock Middleton brought home eighth place medals. “Sawyer and Isaac had dominating performances,” Burns said. “Sawyer had a first round pin in the finals and Isaac had a great win over Meadville’s Ben Fuller who is a standout for the Bulldogs.” This was both Wolfkiel and Roberts second Tool City championship in a row. The Rockets will be at home against Warren tonight, Youngsville on January 15 and Corry on January 22. |
