Oil City invited back 2008 alum and Emmy Award film editor John Rockovich to deliver a humorous recounting of his school days and career path. He spoke of his failures turned into opportunities, turned into let downs, turned into successes, all in the roller coaster of life. His speech preceded the presentation of diplomas.

This year the valedictorian was Rebecca Spanish and Salutatorian was Brea Fennick. 158 ended their senior year with certificates of graduation
