The Pennsylvania State Police partnered with the City of Franklin Friday for an end of summer, get-ready-to-go-back-to-school event of positivity and getting to know one another. Trooper Michelle McGee said the event was designed to do something fun with the community and give children a chance to have a positive experience with members of law enforcement. Franklin city police officers were also present and Mayor Doug Baker dropped by. Several children showed up with their folks and the YMCA pre-school and school aged group walked over to make chalk drawings and write positive messages. McGee said the local F.O.P. provided money for snacks and drinks for the kids. She hopes this becomes an annual event in Franklin and other communities around northwest Pennsylvania. |
And yes, let us all HAVE A GREAT DAY! Sometimes something so simple can be so brilliant.
