In Meadville, I wrote a blog that explained what I was doing as a visual journalist in a small town.
At The Derrick I revised this idea. Jodi became one of those folks who liked and commented frequently on my blog. She got me.
After a little while I realized she also commented and posted on my blogs at the Trib.
The thing about Jodi is this..... she sees beauty in the examination of us.
She and I are forever tied in a web of exactly this notion.
When she was named the head of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, I admit I didn't really know who she was or that we were connected through my blog or ideologies. I met her and took her photograph, but I really didn't know who I was photographing at the time.
This person loves.
This person gives.
This person strives.
This person lives.
This person loves Franklin.
Next week I've asked Jodi to pick out three to five photos of her choosing that I can share with her explanations. I've plucked the last four weeks from her Instagram archive based on what I liked. I see depth in her work, but more importantly I see an inner soul bursting out in ways that just leave me breathless at times. What a gift she shares with us. Thank you Jodi.
