The Central Elementary School teachers and administrators wanted to give their kids one last blast before they officially closed up grades for the year. Given the state's closure of all public schools it had been almost three months since the kids were in class learning. The staff sent out an email to families for a drive-by and honk Hawaiian luau themed send off. Thursday night the teachers and staff lined the sidewalk in front of the school dressed in a lot of colorful get-ups while they hollered out and waved to the kids and their families driving by in their cars.
