After intermission from selections from Handel's Messiah, area high school choirs were given a chance to show off the young talent Venango County has to showcase. Dr. Hae-Jong Lee from Youngstown State University worked with the students all afternoon Saturday on a couple of numbers. The combined choirs were given a chance to work on fresh material. Lee said at the end of the show that the local kids are very talented and the music programs in these schools are extremely vital. Each school then took turns showcasing their singers and providing a glimpse into what their own holiday shows coming up high entail. This part of the performance was a collaboration between the local school music programs spearheaded by Franklin's Sarah Gilbert and with the support of Zach Covington and the Barrow-Civic Theatre.
