When I viewed this photo on Facebook it reminded me of some of my favorite abstract expressionist paints like Clyfford Still. I simply comment "Feature pic of the day?" under her post in just a short time later I received a note saying she posted it and added the following caption. Now I can wait for her to finish her next great column.
Fall's colors are fading fast in the region. Most of the maples leaves have dropped. Some oaks are carrying on the display with their rustic reds and golden browns. Below freezing temperatures have assured that the growing season has ended. But, can fall be the start of things instead of an ending? The Nature of Things will share some thoughts on this in an upcoming post.
