The Barrow-Civic Theatre brought to the area selections from Handel's "The Messiah" this weekend with two shows. Saturday was standing-room only. Sunday also drew a pretty good crowd.
Several soloists performed to tell the story of Christ's birth, death, and resurrection. Soloists included George Wilbur, Rebecca Grove, Nelson Thayer, Helen Fielding, Jamie Bastello, Zachary Covington, Sarah Gilbert and Tim Gilbert. Convington also served as director of the show with Sara Gilbert stepping in to direct a few songs.
The chorus included more than 50 local voices and the orchestra had nearly 20 members.
