I was honored to witness a school. who jumped through hoops. to provide closure to the academic careers of nearly 60 of the young men and women. The teachers of the Valley Grove School District have brought these students, with their families, to this point of sending them off into the world.
I think we forget the importance of exactly what this means.
An education, when done properly, demonstrates what it means to live a life. We never stop learning and when we embrace learning - we live our best lives!
No one expected this graduation would happen two months after the last time the seniors were all in class together - not did anyone think they would be sitting six feet apart on the soccer field at the elementary school, but that is where they were Thursday night and THEY DID IT!
Congrats to the 2020 class of Rocky Grove High School.
From this old high school graduate to you....your best days are still ahead of you!

On a personal note: Thank you principal Hart for reaching out to me knowing I don't work for the paper any longer but want so badly to keep telling community stories. I love being able to document the lives of our people and I truly appreciate that you and others in the community are supporting me as I trek into new communications territory.
