The Oil City based Thomas School of Dance is bringing back their spring recital ... sort of anyways. After having to completely cancel last year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the work the dancers put in last year carried over to this year. They even were able to use the same costumes with some just needing a little bigger sizes.
Operating at a lower capacity than usual, the recital was broken up over four evenings with smaller groups performing in segments in order to allow parents to attend without going over the Covid restrictions. Guests were asked to wear masks into the theater and when they sat in their socially distanced areas they could remove them. They were also asked to wear them as they exited.
They are recording the entire show to sell dvd's as well. Tuesday kicked off the modified recital with around 50 people attending to watch the little dancers perform the routines they've worked hard on over the last couple years.
