Two Titusville basketball players drew the attention of the Erie Times-News breakout players of the year - Manny Perez and Isiah Colon.
Senior Perez was second in the district in scoring, averaging 21.6 points a game. “Perez has been on the cusp of greatness the past few years and finally broke through as one of the top scorers in District 10,” the Times-News noted. Perez made 156 field goals this season, including 54 from three-point land.
Junior Colon is 13th in scoring in District 10 averaging 16.8 points a game. “Colon had some big-time games this year,” the Times article said. “He could be the feature player for the Rockets next year with Manny Perez gone to graduation.” Colon knocked down 60 three-pointers in 19 games, the Times noted.
Titusville ended the season with a 10-12 overall record.
