Since 206 we have been creating picture of the month slideshows for our website at The Meadville Tribune. In 2011, possibly due to burn out or just getting tired of doing it, several months slipped by in the beginning of the year and suddenly the practice was over. I did try to keep a folder each month of images that I thought were some good examples, the kind of images we would normally save into the monthly slideshows. We didn't do this as a staff, but these were my personal folders with images I shot on assignment for the paper. So on a slow news day on the last day of the year I made monthly slideshows. These are caption-less galleries for the most part and very 'loose edits'. I am working on a 2011 favorites slideshow but abandoned it this morning at 12:15 after working more than 10 hours. So that slideshow will come after the new year when I get back to work.
