A local police officer died very young over a year ago. His widow , mother and children decided to celebrate his birthday by sending lanterns into the skies and several community members joined in sending nearly 50 of them into the sky. This actually happened in July, but the family ordered several of the photos from the newspaper and I was looking at them again today thinking that it was an honor for me to document this moment in the history of this family.
