The story and audio slideshow as well as links to other local, regional and national sites were awarded in the annual Pennsylvania Newspaper Association awards. The division consists of newspapers with circulations under 20,000. This is the second project done through the efforts of Sue Kilburn at the Yolanda Barco Oncology Wellness center that has won a Keystone Press award for online reporting. Two years ago another story written, photographed and produced by Sayer about Sue Kilburn's battle with breast cancer and her work to educate others also won a second place in the same category.
