Buckley had already hit a clutch free throw after being fouled on a two-point bucket with 26 seconds left to tie the score at 58. Warren's Tommy Nyquist tried driving to the hoop but dished out to Chase Sitler who tried for the game winner. The shot was blocked by Damarco Payne, who then snagged the loose ball and quickly called a for timeout.
Franklin coach Jason Fuller called on Damon Curry to inbound the ball. He found Buckley open around 40 feet from the hoop and got the ball to him. The rest was Buckley's instinct and quickness to launch the game winner.
It was a monster game for Payne who led the Knights with 21 points. Buckley had 10, six in the last 30 seconds.
The win keeps Franklin firmly in the driver's seat in the region ahead of Warren and Oil City.
