Franklin Fine Arts Council needs photos for annual wall calendar

Franklin Fine Arts Council is seeking photographers for its annual calendar fundraiser, which this year has the theme "The Franklin We Love."   

All photos submitted must feature Franklin and can depict things such as landscapes, festivals and events, animals, seasonal motifs, or backyard scenes. Photos should have artistic appeal, a compelling use of light, and an interesting compositional structure.


Photos will be chosen based on how they look in print and how well they capture the season or spirit of the month.

Submissions are now open for the 2024 Franklin Calendar with a deadline of November 15, 2023.  

Submission Guidelines

• Photos must be received by Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
• 13 Photos will be chosen - one for each months and one for the cover.
• Photographers must be at least 18 years old.
• Photos must be originals of the submitter and cannot be copied in whole or in part from any other work or have another individual with a claim over the image.
• Submitters can upload up to three photos to Seneca Printing Express at https://www.senecaprintingexpress.com/upload-files.
  • Subject Line should read "Franklin 2024 Photos."
  • Submission should include submitter's name and the title of the photograph.
  • Websites or Facebook pages may also be included.

Photo Requirements

• Digital photography only, no prints. 
• File format must be  .JPG or .TIFF.
• Images should be in a horizontal format size 8 1/2 by x 11.
• 300 DPI preferred through photos with a slightly lower resolution may be considered.

Additional Considerations 

The City of Franklin and Franklin Fine Arts Council retains the right to use any submitted photograph in any advertising/promotion it deems suitable, including but not limited to the 2024 Franklin Calendar.

Seneca Printing, on behalf of the ​the Franklin Fine Arts Council, may color correct, crop or edit submissions as needed.
