The Oil City Main Street Program and the South Side Business District will host its annual spring Oil City Uncorked wine tasting event from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 22.
More than 11 regional wineries will be set up in locations throughout walkable downtown and will offer samplings of their wines as well as a sprinkle of spirit and brew choices. Vendors signed up to participate include Allegheny Cellars Winery, Black Dog Wine Company, Deer Creek Winery, Fat Chad's Brewery, Fractured Grape/Novosel, Groundhog Winery, Lynchwood Spirits, Twisted Vine Winery, Two Birch Winery, Webb Winery and The Winery at Wilcox.
Light refreshments will be available at host businesses and downtown restaurants will be open for regular dining.
Oil City Uncorked is a key fundraiser of the Oil City Main Street Program. Proceeds from the event support ongoing downtown revitalization initiatives.
Tickets are $30 if purchased by April 20, and include a souvenir tasting glass. After that Wednesday and at the door, tickets will be available for $35 until they are sold out.
Check-in for the event will open at 3:30 p.m. and close at 6:30 p.m. at The Sleep Shoppe, 2 State Street, Oil City. Attendees must be 21 or older and must present an ID at check-in.
