I will post links to all the artists of the months here when I get time, but for now I am going to be a little self serving with a good transition between my Artist of September and my artists of November with me in the middle.
I had an idea about a year ago that we should have a show about issues right before the election. This conversation led me to very nice idea meetings with two artists I've grown to respect immensely, George Cooley and Margaret Brostrom. They invited me to participate in a couple projects in the past and I was enamored with a project Margaret conceived and was building on the fence in the alley behind her and George's home in Oil City. The fence of dolls is a powerful statement about the immigrant families being separated at the border. They invited me to be a part of this as well.
During one idea meeting we just played with a Trump pinata and it ended up being a photo project and our announcement poster.
Below is a video tour of our show up until election night at the Graffiti Gallery in Oil City.
Some details from the show. You can double click on them to expand.
Most importantly on Nov. 3rd, if you haven't already....VOTE!
