But Whitman never fouled out and contributed 15 points by the time the final buzzer sounded. He followed up the next day with a much more in-control effort, dominating in all aspects of the game, recording several blocks and rebounds, and even dishing the ball off to his teammates to score easy buckets. Grove got a big unexpected surprise when, in foul trouble, they put in freshman Landen Carter who lit it up playing solid on both sides of the call and dropping in 17 points. Blayne Baker also contributed 17. Carter also got plenty of minutes on Saturday scoring a handful of points
