Twelve Knights put points on the board in Franklin's commanding 80-23 win over Titusville in Region 6 play Tuesday night. Damon Curry led the team with 18. Teammates Cole Buckley, Jalen Woods and Dreydan Payne each poured in 12 points. Ethan Umbenhauer, Alex Umbenhauer and Gavin Eakin all had five. Rounding out the Knights offense were Jamison Wofford (3), Ian Higley (3), Darrius Graham (2), Nate Fezzell (2) and Joey Findlan (1). It is also worth noting that late last week Damarco Payne was named the Erie Times-News District 10 high school boys basketball Midseason Breakout player. Payne has averaged more than 11 points per game and had 21 points in the win against Warren last week. Franklin is now 15-4 on the season and 5-0 in the region. They return to action on Friday when the Knights host Corry. |
