"We ended our season last year with a tight win over them, so that was a good sign of great things to come. And we definitely have a solid team," coach Come said. "We have a good core group of swimmers and our depth with 19 girls on the team is a great advantage."
Come said a real challenge for them is returning region champion Slippery Rock who they were scheduled to face yesterday after our deadline - we'll have results in next week's paper. He also said the team will get a chance to see how they stack up against the rest of the district tomorrow at the Northeast Invitational.
Overall the Rockets have eight girls qualified for districts thus far.
The boys didn't fare as well against the Oilers dropping the meet 102-68. Ironically that was the same score of the girls meet in reverse.
